fall is finally here and being back in my home town of Portland makes it
so much more exciting. the leaves have become a fiery rainbow on the
trees and now falling all around me, layering the slick ground. the air
is moist and the smell of fall creeps in from the wet forest and rises
off the black pavement. fashion wise, its time to start layering up the
clothes as well. my favorite way to wear fashion is possible for me
again after so many years in the deserts of the south and the
rainforests of the east. i love pairing flannels and denim with lace and florals
for a grungy northwest feel and layering monochromatic sweats and chunky knits
for a put-together yet comfy sporty vibe, textures and lengths being the key components of the successful layer-up.
